Air India determines your cabin baggage or checked baggage allowance as per your travel cabin. All flyers can bring 1 item of cabin baggage and 1 personal item. First Class and Business Class ticketholders can bring up to 1 item of carry-on baggage up to 12 kg whereas Economy Class passengers can carry up to 1 item of cabin baggage up to 8 kg. Personal items such as a laptop, handbag, overcoat, or blanket are permissible.
Depending on your travel cabin, Air India determines your checked baggage allowance. If you’re travelling from India to the UK or vice versa in Economy Class, you’re allowed 2 pieces of checked baggage, with the maximum weight of each bag being 25 kg. In the case of Executive Class passengers, the airline allows 2 items of checked baggage; only bags that weigh up to 32 kg are allowed in this class.
