Air Moldova is the national air carrier of the Republic of Moldova and has its headquarters based in Chișinău Moldova. This premier airline offers scheduled and charter flights to many European, Middle Eastern, and Asian destinations from its hub at Chișinău International Airport. The airline operates seasonal flights to Turkey, Spain, Montenegro, and Greece too.
The date 12th January 1993 marks the establishment of Air Moldova after approval by the President of the Republic of Moldova. However, the carrier started operating from 19th September 1944 onwards.
Air Moldova has been a member of the Air Transport Association member since 13th July 2004. The air company was also privatized in October 2018 after the Civil Aviation Group (CAG) became its owner. The CAG is a joint-stock company between two Moldovan entrepreneurs and the Romanian air carrier Blue Air. Air Moldova Club is the frequent flyer loyalty program of Air Moldova.
