About Avianca Baggage Allowance
The Avianca Baggage Allowance option is available on the official website at avianca.com. Your baggage allowance will vary depending on the route you are travelling on, your cabin class and whether you are a frequent flyer or not. Your travel fare determines your cabin and checked baggage allowance onboard Avianca flights.
The Carry-on baggage allowance for all travel classes for UK-bound flights includes 1 bag up to 10 kg or 22 pounds and 1 personal item. While XS Class passengers have to pay cabin baggage fees, they are allowed to bring 1 personal item free of cost. All other fares include 1 cabin baggage and 1 personal item free of cost. When it comes to checked baggage allowance, XS and S cabin passengers have to pay for checked baggage. M and L Class travellers can carry up to 1 item of checked baggage not weighing more than 23 kg or 50 pounds at no cost. XXL fares allow passengers to bring 2 items of free checked baggage; the maximum combined weight of both bags is fixed at 32 kg or 70 pounds.
Carry-On Baggage:
You can bring a personal item (such as a handbag, knapsack, diaper bag, or laptop bag) with maximum dimensions of 45 x 35 x 25 cm. Ensure it fits under the seat in front of you.
For carry-on baggage, the maximum dimensions are 55 x 35 x 25 cm (including wheels and handles), and the weight limit is 10 kg.
All fares (except XS) allow you to bring a personal item and carry-on baggage for free.
Checked Baggage:
Check your bags at the airport counter before proceeding to the boarding lounge.
Maximum dimensions for checked baggage must not exceed 158 cm (total dimension: length + width + height).
Economy Class allows a maximum weight of 23 kg, while Business Class permits 32 kg.
The fares M, L, and XXL include checked baggage.
Special Baggage:
Avianca accommodates sports equipment, musical instruments, and other special items. Check their conditions before flying.
Excess Baggage:
If your baggage exceeds weight or dimensions, you can bring it for an additional charge.
Liquids:
Carry-on baggage can include liquids, but each container must not exceed 100 ml.
