Emirates Seat Selection

Emirates offers passengers the option to choose their seats on flights. First Class, Business Class (including Flex, Saver, and Flex Plus), and Premium Economy class travellers can select their seats at no cost. With Economy Special and Economy Saver fares, you have to pay for seat selection for all seat types. Economy Flex seats are given complimentary Regular seats, although they have to pay for Preferred seats, Twin seats, and Extra Legroom seats. Regular and Preferred seats are complimentary for Economy Flex Plus passengers while twin seats and extra legroom seats are purchasable for them. In the Economy cabin, the charges vary depending on whether you select Regular seats, Preferred seats, Twin seats, or Extra Legroom seats. Access the “Manage Booking” on the airline website to choose your desired seat among window seats, aisle seats, middle seats, or extra legroom seats. Emirates does not levy charges if you change your seat for another seat costing the same. If you opt for a seat of higher value, you have to pay the fare difference. Emirates Baggage Allowance

Your baggage allowance on Emirates flights depends on your travel class and route.

As part of carry-on baggage, Business and First Class passengers can carry up to 2 items (including a briefcase and handbag); each item of cabin baggage should not weigh more than 7 kg. Premium Economy travelers can bring 1 item of cabin baggage up to 10 kg while Economy fares include 1 cabin baggage up to 7 kg.

For flights between the United States and Europe, First Class and Business Class passengers are entitled to a free checked baggage allowance of up to 2 items of 32 kg each. Premium Economy, Economy Flex and Economy Flex Plus travellers can bring up to 2 items of 23 kg each as part of their free checked baggage allowance. Economy Special and Economy Saver fares include 1 item of 23 kg under their free checked baggage allowance.

Emirates applies the weight concept when it comes to calculating baggage allowance of different fares on some flights. Economy Saver fares have 20 kg free checked baggage allowance and Economy Saver fares offer 25 kg free checked baggage allowance. Economy Flex fares and Economy Flex Plus fares have provisions for 30 kg and 35 kg free checked baggage allowance. The free checked baggage allowance for First Class travellers is 50 kg, Business Class passengers are 40 kg, and Premium Economy cabin is 35 kg.
