About Icelandair Flight Change Policy
Although Icelandair tries to operate flights as per the given schedule, the Carrier may not be able to do so due to technical issues and unforeseen circumstances. The airline informs passengers about the change in flight schedule via their contact information. If there is a schedule change and the flight is delayed by at least 5 hours from the scheduled departure, flyers can apply for a refund minus the booking fee.
In cases where you want to modify your Icelandair reservation, you are eligible for a refund as per your fare provisions depending on whether you have cancellation insurance. If your fare allows for a flight change, you have to pay the fare difference and change fee.
Go to the Icelandair “My Journey” portal to change your flight. When you want to modify your reservation via the portal, you first have to sign in to your account. You then have to retrieve your booking and tap the corresponding “Change Flight” option. Go on to check the available flight schedules and confirm your new flight. The system will then prompt you to pay the change fee and fare difference. Once you pay the given amount, your new reservation gets confirmed and you will receive your confirmation email.
