ITA Airways makes refunds on certain conditions. Only refundable tickets are eligible for a refund whereas you cannot claim a refund with a non-refundable ticket. Also, the Carrier processes refunds on only the unused portion of the ticket and within the stipulated timeframe. ITA Airways also issues refunds depending on the payment mode (including credit card, cash, or bank transfer) and between 7 to 30 working days.
The person who holds the ticket is entitled to a refund from the Carrier. If the passenger has not paid for the ticket, then the airline will refund to the person who made the payment for the ticket or act on their instructions. Refunds are given upon submission of the ticket and unused coupons. Depending on the fare type, ITA Airways deducts the applicable cancellation fees and other charges before making the refund. The airline reserves the right to make refunds in the same currency and same method as the ticket purchase.
Travellers are entitled to a full refund when they cancel their booking within 24 hours of confirming the reservation. Upon the 24-hour window expiry, your fare rules will apply for processing refunds. Even you can claim a full refund when your flight is delayed by more than 5 hours. You can apply for a refund via phone or email as mentioned on the ITA Airways website.
