About Kenya Airways Refund Policy

Kenya Airways initiates refunds on the unused portion of the ticket as per the applicable fare provisions. Only the person named in the ticket or the one who made the ticket purchase is entitled to a refund after submitting satisfactory proof. In case the passenger has not paid for the reservation and there is a restriction on refund, the Carrier makes refunds to the person who purchased the ticket. When applying for a refund from Kenya Airways, you have to surrender the flight ticket and unused flight coupons; this rule does not apply to lost tickets.

Kenya Airways processes refund requests depending on whether they are involuntary refunds or voluntary refunds. If the Carrier fails to operate a flight, travellers are refunded the entire fare amount of the unused ticket portion with no deductions. In case you cancel your reservation, the airline issues refunds on the unused ticket portion, less any service fees and cancellation charges.

Make sure to submit your refund request before the expiry of the ticket validity; the Carrier has the right to refuse a refund if you apply after the expiration of the ticket validity.

Kenya Airways takes between 21 days and 30 business days to make refunds if you have paid via debit cards or credit cards.
