Where airport check-in is concerned, passengers have 2 options: check-in counter and self-service kiosks. Also, you can check-in online to your KLM flight. The airline allows travellers to check-in in 30 hours before departure for flights to and from the United Kingdom. However, the check-in deadline via the airport check-in desk is 40 minutes before departure time.
The airline representatives are, also, available to respond to any of your queries about your boarding pass. The airline issues your boarding pass after the check-in process. Among the digital options for receiving your boarding pass are via email, the KLM app, social media, and My Trip. If a passenger does not have a mobile device or he/she does not want their boarding pass on paper, the airline allows them to pick up their boarding pass from the check-in counters or self-service kiosks. The airline offers the option of printing your boarding pass at home, too. However, for kids from 15 years to 17 years, booking the Unaccompanied Minor Service is optional if the children are travelling alone. As part of the Unaccompanied Minor Service, the airline requires details of the person who is bringing and picking up your child to and from the airport. More so, you have to bring your child to the airport at least 2.5 hours before departure.
The airline requires you to remain at the airport until flight departure. The airline staff accompanies your child to his/her seat and supervises your child throughout the flight. For long transfers, the airline executives take them to a designated lounge. Even upon arrival at the destination, the airline officials bring them to the arrival hall and hand them over to the person who is authorized to pick them up.
