About Shanghai Airlines
Shanghai Airlines is a Chinese carrier that has its headquarters based at Hongqiao airport in Shanghai. Also, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines operates domestic and international flights. Moreover, its two hubs are based in Shanghai: Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Shanghai Airlines was set up in the year 1985 and is the first-ever commercial airline in China that is funded by both the Shanghai municipal government and Shanghai local firms. Among international destinations that Shanghai Airlines serves are Thailand, Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, among others. Eastern Miles is the frequent flyer loyalty program of Shanghai Airlines.
