History
The origins of Bristol Airport are traced back to the year 1930 when Whitchurch Airport was unveiled by Prince George, Duke of Kent, on 31st May 1930. Whitchurch Airport served as an RAF airfield during the Second World War, being the main operational civil airport at that time.

After the end of the Second World War, in the year 1957, Bristol (Lulsgate) airport was officiated by the Duchess of Kent. It replaced Bristol (Whitchurch) airport to become the municipal airport of Bristol.
The airport was renamed Bristol International Airport through the years 1997 to 2010. And the year 2010 marks the rebranding of Bristol International Airport to its current name – Bristol Airport.

Road travelers can reach the airport via North M5, South M5, East M4, South East (Bath), and South Wales.
