Then, in June 2010, Vancouver Airport Services (VAS) and the Peel Group entered into a pact whereby the former would acquire 65% share in the latter’s airports, with the inclusion of Liverpool Airport. However, the Peel Group regained its 100% ownership of the airport after it repurchased its 65% stake from VAS, in June 2010. Thereafter, the Peel Group sold its 20% stake in the airport to Liverpool City Council for £12m.
